License Plate Recognition
SPG seamlessly integrated the same ANPR technologies used exclusively by the US government to protect all its land borders. The system can read Middle Eastern plates (in Arabic and English) and it can read front plates, rear plates or both. In addition, the system also identifies the Emirate. Should the need arise, the system can also capture license plates of vehicles travelling at highway speeds.
Undercarriage Scanning
SPG incorporates the world renowned UVIS scanner from Perceptics. This LED illuminated line scanner creates superb high-resolution images in a wide range of lighting conditions, and can scan vehicles ranging from a small car to a large commercial truck. With no training, security officers can quickly review the undercarriage, zooming into suspicious areas. There is even a feature to compare the current image of the undercarriage with the images taken during prior visits to the facility.
Traffic Management Integration
SPG doesn't just incorporate UVIS and ANPR technologies; the system integrates vehicle sensors, barriers, stoppers, traffic lights and more, in a multi-patent pending security system. The system manages security and controls the vehicle flow through gates and inspection areas.
CCTV integration
SPG fully integrates CCTV into the system. There is smart scene and camera switching so that the officer can automatically track vehicles as they proceed through the perimeter. The system can automatically capture scene images as events unfold providing a detailed audit of the vehicle activity. Better still, the officer can quickly and easily select cameras, and PTZ, all through a simple visual interface.

The SPG system is fully functional using standard keyboard and mouse, but a large number of features have been ergonomically designed to leverage interactions with touch screens. The touch screen interface provides seamless ways, for example, to enter information in multiple languages using virtual onscreen keyboards including Arabic and English.

Check Points
The core function of any check point is to inspect the identity and integrity of vehicles and passengers passing through. This function is repeated several hundred (or thousands of) times a day with an almost identical process performed by security guards. Over time, the guards get relaxed and as a result unconsciously lower their level of attentiveness to possible threats. This fact is perhaps one of the most significant security breaches that a check point suffers from. And this is exactly the problem that our Check Points solution solves.
Borders
Border points are subjected to thousands of vehicles passing every day. Naturally, each vehicle is expected to present official documents along with personal data to a security guard who is tasked with filling in the data after checking for correctness and validity. With large volumes of traffic frequently seen by border points, significant delays become typical. As in any human centric security solution guards will quickly get accustomed and security awareness drops. This is where automation becomes a way of ensuring security. Our Border solution has been customized to deal with this particular security threat.
Parking
Parking lots observe a significant number of vehicles entering and exiting especially within large cities. Typical paid parking lots dispense a parking card to vehicle drivers indicating the time of arrival and later used to calculate the total parking charges upon exit. Most parking lots rely on CCTV or other types of security systems to provide a layer of security. However, these various systems are not synchronized and Often vehicles will replace parking cards with newer cards in order to reduce the parking charges in a systematic way. This is where our Parking solution comes to play.
